▶ Where is the Course Start and Finish?

The Happy Smackah 5k Fun Run / Walk race is at Lake McIntosh in Longmont, Colorado. The event starts and finishes towards the West End of Dawson Park, near Lakeshore Drive and Cove Court. See our Course Map for details.

▶ When Does The 5k Fun Run / Walk Start?

Check in for the Happy Smackah Fun Run / Walk begins at 7 AM. The Fun Run / Walk official starters gun fires at 8 AM. Post race mingling and socializing usually wraps up by 10:30 AM.

▶ Can I walk?

Yes! Happy Smackah participants are welcome to run or walk the entire race. We want you to enjoy yourself, have a good time, and feel great!

▶ Are strollers allowed?

Strollers are welcome. For safety reasons, e.g. so that the other runners do not trip over them, we ask that participants with strollers start near the back. Please don’t bring bicycles, in-line skates, or anything else that lets you roll or bounce your way to the finish.

▶ Can I bring my dog?

Sorry, no pets allowed at the Happy Smackah 5k, please leave your pets at home for their safety.

▶ What happens after the race?

You enjoy post race refreshments with friends, family and other Happy Smackahs! You can also text/facebook/tweet to all your friends that you are a true Happy Smackah having just finished an awesome 5K supporting your community!

▶ Is the Happy Smackah 5k a timed event?

No, the Happy Smackah 5k is not a “race” for speed but for participation, fun, and to experience health, community, and giving. You can create a commemorative race bib online, for printing at home and bringing to the race.

▶ What do I get with registration?

Each participant receives entry to the event, a high quality t-shirt, and post-race refreshments.
