The Jill Woo Ching 2018 Update

Hello to old and new friends,

I am writing to encourage you to register and participate in the 2018 Happy Smackah !   This amazing event is Saturday and we are hoping for a terrific turnout to support out newest Happy Smackah, sweet Clara Shipp.

It is with a grateful heart that I write this reminder.  I was the 2014 Happy Smackah.  I can never adequately express how my life was impacted by the good wishes and generosity of so many supportive people.  The financial help the Happy Smackah community gave me has continued to help in so many ways. It has enabled me to travel to MD Anderson in Houston to receive the best medical care for my type of cancer.

It is because of the expertise of my team of doctors that just last week I was told I currently have “no evidence of disease” !  I do have physical limitations and pain due to the location of the original tumors and I do feel down at times.  But it always helps me to be thankful for all the amazing, caring people in my life. And to remind myself that I am a Happy Smackah ! Being selected in 2014 was an honor and I remain forever grateful.

Let’s help Clara and her family know that we support and care about them. I hope to see you this Saturday at 8:00 at Macintosh Lake.  Be ready to have fun and welcome our newest member of the Happy Smackah community.
